Hi everyone!
Another week blew by and it’s time to give each other our updates on the Yoga Challenge!
On Wednesday I’ve uploaded quite a long blog-post about my journey to fitness – past, present & future… So you’re very welcome to read that if you have the time & are wondering how my personal challenges with fitness are going
As for the challenge:
I haven’t met my yoga-twice-a-week goal this time, however… I did meet my other goals which includes:
- At least half an hour of Pilates √
- Making time for a 4 minute energy boosting workout each day √
- Enjoying my time working out
√
& I did workout 4 times this week in the gym! So, I think that covers my missing 1.5 or 2 hours of yoga
On Monday my trial week @ the gym will end and I’ll be back to taking yoga lessons once a week ’till summer break
I want to give you a little something to think about: A quote I read a while ago on Alexias blog ↓
Have you ever caught yourself putting your life on hold while “waiting for the storm to pass”?
I sure have! Now it’s time to learn to dance in the rain again… and Boy have I been missing life’s dance for a long time now!
I feel blessed to be able to workout again & enjoy myself each day.
I feel blessed for my (our) freedom & I thank God (mother nature – the universe - or however you want to name the Greater Good) each day for teaching me my life’s lessons!
I’m ready to DANCE again! And I wish you the same!
♥

lovely post! and thank u for mentioning me! the quote has become one of my favourites!
Mine too
I’d never heard of it before so I’m glad I saw your post that day!
That quote is one of my favorites! Sometimes all it takes is a moment of reflection to step back and realize it is time to dance again. Have a wonderful weekend with lots of dancing
Thanks Jennifer! That’s so true, it’s so empowering when you realize this after a while. Have a lovely weekend yourself
Good for you! Even though you didn’t technically complete your yoga challenge you still had some other awesome goals that you did. I love that you made a goal to enjoy your time working out because if it’s not enjoyable then why the heck do it? ya know? Awesome job this week lady!
Thanks for the lovely feedback Sarah! Working out has to be enjoyable otherwise it’s not even worth the effort!
Me again…
It’s tough to take care of yourself whilst being on a strict schedule. I think you’re doing a good job I’d say from what I read
For myself I used to SUCK at this; but lately I’m making myself more of a priority.. If I don’t eat, sleep, laugh enough there’s no way I can preform well; whether that’s in school; career; relationship; sport..etc. I really try to plan ahead. My main downfall is in diet; it’s not making sure I have good food around all ready to be eaten after practice or work. So I’m making it a habit to prepare my meals in advance = it works wonders for me
Also, I make myself sleep 8 hours a night no matter what.
For some reason I can’t leave a comment on today’s post @ your blog… weird – but I wanted to tell you “good job!!!!” How awesome you’re studying to become a yoga teacher; and in Cali of all places!! I love Cali so much! It’s gorgeous there + lovely weather
Can’t wait to read more about your journey
that is my favorite quote of all time, I have a painting a friend painted for me that I hang on my wall. it is my rock.
I think I need to do the same thing; hang it on my wall… It’s good to have a reminder like this
I’d never heard of the quote until recently, but it’s one of my faves already!
